

SPMS is a public enterprise created in 2010, functioning under the guardianship of the Ministries of Health and Finance. Its aim is to provide shared services to organisations operating specifically in the area of health, in order to “centralise, optimise and rationalise” the procurement of goods and services within the National Health Service (NHS).
SPMS is responsible for providing specific shared services to establishments and services of the NHS, independently of their legal status, as well as to bodies and services of the Ministry of Health and any other organisations, when they execute activities specific to the area of health, in the matters of:
- Purchasing and Logistics
- Financial Management
- Human Resources
- Information and Communications Systems and Technologies (ICT)
