On 19th December and 20th December, the 23th General Assembly of the association took place in Paris, hosted by Resah.

The first half of the first day was dedicated to an EHPPA Innovation Day, organized by Toni Gilabert (CSC), our Vice-President in charge of Innovation. This workshop was an opportunity for members to discuss the following topics:

  • EHPPA countries' good initiatives in innovative public procurement
  • The digitization of the procurement process and data management, and the use of AI in public health procurement.

The exchanges between the participants led to one main conclusion: The creation of an internal EHPPA working group on digitization and AI.

A great brainstorming session for our members on a topic that is currently in the news!

On the functioning of the EHPPA, Danny Havenith, from MercurHosp, was re-electedby the members as President: Congratulations to him!

Five vice-presidents were appointed to make up the new board; they were already involved in the previous board and retained the same portfolio:

  • Alyson Brett (NHS-CS - UK). Vice-President in charge of sustainable development and social value
  • Louis Potel (Resah - France). Vice-President in charge of external relations and European projects
  • Tony Gilabert Perramon (CSC - Spain). Vice-President in charge of Innovation
  • Gerwin Meijer (IAZ - Netherlands). Vice-President in charge of securing supplies
  • Elvis Fontaine (CAIB - Switzerland). Vice-President in charge of knowledge sharing and internal training

The General Assembly also provided an opportunity to review the actions carried out during the previous mandate, to define the objectives for the new year, and to discuss the action plan for 2024:

  • Pan-European focus;
  • The creation of an internal working group on innovation, with a particular focus on data and artificial intelligence;
  • Sharing best practices in all areas of interest, such as innovation and sustainability;
  • Internal development of the association;
  • EHPPA's digital presence through our channels: website, healthcare buyer community and LinkedIn.

These two days of meetings were rich in exchanges. We have some exciting initiatives coming up on our strategic topics.

Stay tuned !
