On 2 and 3 December, EHPPA held its 27th General Assembly, kindly hosted by MercurHosp in Brussels.

This General Assembly was an excellent opportunity to reaffirm the power of collaboration in public procurement and to bring together EHPPA members to reflect on the future challenges facing the sector.

Highlights from the General Assembly

Over the two days, participants had the opportunity to review achievements, discuss upcoming developments and exchange perspectives on the evolving public procurement landscape.

Key highlights include:

  • An overview of the main actions and activities carried out during the mandate
  • Presentation of a new proposal outlining the future direction of EHPPA
  • Insights into upcoming changes and initiatives in the public procurement sector, including:
    • The introduction of the European Commission's Recommendations on the 2014 Public Procurement Directives
    • A presentation on how public procurement can strenghten crisis response and supply chain resilience, drawing valuable lessons from the COVID-19 pandemic. The presentation by Esmee Peter sparked lively and inspiring discussions among participants.
